Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She was widely credited as the pioneer of modern studies of the memory of witnesses and also children's witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded several international and national prizes. She has worked with a variety of government agencies and institutions around the globe on policy and research relating to child victimized by the justice system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
